About the company:
We are proud to be partnering with a major player in the global coal industry in their search for a Mine Surveyor to join a large, open-cut coal mine in Southern end of Queensland.
About the role:
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, as the surveyor you will contribute to and directly influence the mining environment, as well as provide technical support and planning processes to the mine site.
- Set out design/plan information for production providing control information.
- Support operations through accurate survey control and monitoring of dig areas.
- Compile and audit data required for month end overburden and coal reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintain and develop the site survey control including control of the aerial mapping program.
- Provide technical support to the pit supervisor and OCEs in relation to geotechnical monitoring.
Role Requirements:
- Registration as a QLD mine surveyor or be looking to register in the future.
- Bachelor degree or studying equivalent tertiary qualification in spatial science.
- Open manual drivers licence.
- High level of surveying competency, including electronic survey software.
