Are you an experienced safety leader eager to make a significant impact in the mining industry? I am seeking a Principal Safety Advisor to lead and elevate safety standards on a large underground mining project.

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Management: Provide expert advice to project teams on identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety and health risks.
• Lead Safety Strategy: Develop, implement, and oversee safety and health systems that meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Incident Management: Lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure lessons are applied to prevent future incidents.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, project teams, and external partners to embed a strong safety culture.

About You

• Qualifications: WHS/OHS 
• Experience: 5 + years as a Senior safety advisor in underground coal mining or the resources sector.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and influence at all levels.
• Competency: ICAM certification or equivalent in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
